A Goddess and A Chief

I braved the rain to go check out this month's City of Chiefs mixer at a spot called "The Door" which is a hookah lounge. I was automatically hype though not the appropriate event for me to be blowing out strawberry smoke. But it was good times for real; got a chance to "konnect" with some folks I haven't seen since my industry days :) (big up the open bar cosmos!) And of course, got to kick it with the lovely Nida Khan (Wonder Woman). I wanted to give a quick shout to City of Chiefs founder and empress, Kay Konnect; and to J. Punch, her trusty and bout it right hand woman who is always holding things down (and had the cutest blue top tonight--work!). Check out her blog (link above) and show some love. I hope to have her bless us on the Goddess Rising site; I've always admired her candor in her blogs and email newsletters...she speaks her truth shamelessly about relationships, her feelings and the day to day bullsh*t you deal with as a woman in the industry, in the midst of the obligatory friend and tastemaker shoutouts. It's refreshing. It's inspired me to fearless and real in my postings. And to top it off, she's a fellow Aquarian...automatically dope. Thanks for getting me out in the streets!
