Wounded

In Honor of National Poetry & Sexual Assault Awareness Month

Hecate, Goddess of protecting women and cursing the unjust
Be with us

Dark, damp places
My body can't forget
mold grows rigid body on the rocks
the body never lies
punctured
violated
silence, slithering, circling my soul
mutilated
mourning my womb in the morning
sacral chakra un-sacred
scared
senses seared
soul sewn, stitched
Grieving for my inner child
stuck, sealed
decaying, diseased deceit
the body never rocks
it is still
it starves itself
only feeling alive when experiencing hunger

Hecate, mood goddess, Queendom in earth, sea and sky
Be with us
for self-discovery
