It's been awhile since I've posted a blog but I just wrote this and thought it was cute LOL has anyone else watched Planet Green TV?
0n June 4 2008, Discovery Networks launched a new cable channel called Planet Green. According to USA Today, they're hoping to parlay the "green" living movement into greenbacks and win over casual "armchair environmentalists" with celebrity appearances including rapper Ludacris, rocker Tommy Lee and Entourage star Adrian Grenier — to soft-pedal its mission. As someone who was already a fan of TLC ( The Learning Channel), HGTV (Home & Gardens Television), and Discovery Networks, you can only imagine how excited I was when Planet Green launched. I know some of you might be thinking that an entire TV network dedicated to "going green" is over kill but there's more to this movement than gardening and eating more vegetables. Ludacris and Tommy Lee competed in a series of "going green" challenges on a special show called Battleground Earth. One of their challenges was to build a solar powered home. It was hilarious! But Planet Green TV does more than make me laugh, I also learn alot, even about what fashion designers make beautiful eco-friendly organic wedding dresses. Planet Green is TV that educates and entertains; there's information for your mind, body, and soul. Instead of trying to scare us into being more environmentally aware with threats like "the ice is melting and the ozone layer is dieing" Planet Green is paving the way for new age advocacy . . . the TV Revolution . . . maybe the revolution will be televised?
