If I translated my September into a movie, musical goddess Janelle Monae would be the soundtrack. All month long, her EP "Metropolis: The Chase Suite" (Special Edition) has been on repeat in my office, in my living room, in my dreams, as I walk down the street, when I'm in the shower, and on it goes. I dig her so much because I feel like she's the lovechild of Lauryn Hill and Gwen Stefani. She is fun, funky, spirited and evocative. She rocks my world. So get her album and support a sista.
