Peace and Politics

Peace is the root of the power that is felt when we as a community commit to create, take action, and sustain positive change.
-Tulani Kinard

Tuland Kinard, peace activist, entrepreneur, minister, musician, renaissance goddess, is running for City Countil District 41 in Brooklyn (encompassing the communities of Ocean Hill, Brownsville, Bedford Stuyvesant and East Flatbush) on a platform of peace and justice. Obama's election shows us that we must unite for change and make things happen.

Tomorrow night there's a dance par-tay fundraiser in support of her candidacy, details below. Visit her website to learn more about her and her campaign. And if you can't attend, donate! We must work together to create, save, and uplift each other.
