Healing Reading Pt. 2

To follow up on the previous post, in addition to reading The Shadow Effect, I concurrently read The Politics of Experience by RD Laing and Kick Ass Creativity by Mary Beth Maziarz. I could not have asked for more complimentary rhetoric in the three books.

The Shadow Effect explores the inner areas that we have tendencies to feel bad about.  The Politics of Experience delves into the non-realism of experienced reality. So that those shadow areas that we think we hide from others, and we convince ourselves that we should not pay attention to at all, play just as equal part in reality as all those other experiences that happen outside of us with others. The way Kick Ass Creativity rounds it out is to validate that no matter how weird, how internal and how uncomfortable those impulses seem; we should trust the energy, work with all the facets of our being to convert these forces into some form of positive creation.

All of it has to do with shifting consciousness, patience, forgiveness and then releasing through active expression.  Validation of our crazy, validation of our inner worlds, and acceptance for situations that confuse us. Blessings!
