VOTE!!

I'm all the way in Guatemala and haven't been able to blog since I've been here. Many, many reasons but I'm back on the scene (crispy and clean...for real because I had my 3rd hot shower and finally washed my hair!). I digress, folks.

Today is Election Day in the U.S. and is the most important election of my lifetime. I'm not encouraging anyone to vote for a particular candidate but this is a historic election for all. Barack Obama has a real chance to be the first Black, specifically African-American, president; and his beautiful wife, Michelle, the first African-American/Black first lady. There is also a historical women's ticket that has NOTHING to do with Sarah Palin. The Green Party ticket of Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente is the first all women of color ticket; and they have been more than surpressed by the mass media.

Whoever you vote for, just fuckin' vote! (well, as long as it's not McCain-wink) It's our right, and we must exercise it. People died so that we, especially as women and people of color, could make our voice heard. Make the ancestors proud. And if you have some problems at the polls, I've listed some resources below.

Peace...and cheers to change ahead!
